Welcome to Heartland Rescue & Rehabilitation, a registered non-profit organization based in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate horses, offering them a second chance at life. We are dedicated to making a positive impact on the welfare of these majestic animals and the community we serve.
As passionate advocates for equine welfare, we understand the importance of providing a safe haven for horses in need. Our team of dedicated individuals works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and love horses that have been neglected, abused, or abandoned.
But our work goes beyond just horses. The team run various community initiatives and deeply committed to creating ripple effects of kindness that are far reaching. At Heartland, we believe in the power of horses to heal not only the body but also the mind and spirit. In addition to our rescue efforts, we run a skills development program specifically designed for underprivileged youth. Through this program, we aim to empower young individuals by teaching them valuable life skills and fostering a deep connection with these incredible animals. The team run
